Does the WTS's past matter?
by M.J. ini know, i'd jump into this topic by saying, "heck yeah.
they're the ones saying they've been appointed by god based on what they were doing back around 1914-1919.
" but i'm trying to help someone out who has reached a roadblock with his wife.

American Lawyers: Help on DF case!
by Narkissos inin a current european case, the wt lawyers refer to a judgment by the court of appeal of new jersey (nyc congregation of jws vs. mrs janice paul, # 819f.2d875, june 10, 1987) about the supposedly non-discriminatory character of the wt disfellowshipping arrangement and the related (shunning) instructions to its members.
according to them, in this case an exjw sued the congregation for slander, breach of private life, fraud and insult as a consequence of her disfellowshipment.
the court decided that the shunning of a disfellowshipped person was protected by the first amendment of the us constitution guaranteeing freedom of worship.

UK & IRELAND MAP
by ballistic ini had an idea that i could build a uk map of everyones location which would show you instantly who is in your area from jwd.. (it might be an idea to do a seperate us one aswell but i'll wait and see if this one takes off first, or if anyone from the us wants to volunteer to do that one).
(and australia but you are all in the same backyard anyway - literally!!!).
anyway, all you have to do is post or email me your username and town and i will draw you on the map above which will change gradually to include everyone!.

What was your first taste of "apostasy"? Mine was Bonham, Texas
by donny inbesides the folks walking with signs at each convention, what was your first taste of "apostasy"?
my first interesting experience happened within the kingdom hall.
my congregation in dallas (farmers branch) was in the same district as the bonham congregation which was about 70 miles northeast of dallas.. http://governingbodyletters.blogspot.com/2008/04/who-owns-kingdom-halls.html.
